Gamsu gets expanded Red Arrow role
Harry Gamsu has been handed an expanded role at Munich-based Red Arrow International overseeing all non-scripted programming.
Gamsu (pictured) becomes VP, non-scripted at Red Arrow Entertainment’s sales arm, and will manage all aspects of new and catalogue non-scripted properties, plus acquire new programmes and IP from third-party producers, broadcasters and new platforms.
He will also work on pan- and channel group sales from within the Red Arrow International sales tem, and reporting to Red Arrow International senior VP of global sales Bo Stehmeier.
This comes more than two years after TBI revealed Red Arrow had hired Gamsu from Warner Bros. International Television Production to become VP, format acquisitions and sales.
It also comes as Red Arrow sharpens its focus on factual programming, acquiring formats for the Red Arrow International group, and optioning formats for the wider Red Arrow group, which is part of German broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1.
At MIPCOM last year, the firm launched shows such as 78x30mins Motive to Murder, 52x30mins Weather or Not, 6x60mins Man V. Viral and one-hour doc The Queen Mary. New formats included Look Me in the Eye, Streetlab, and The Decision.
“Harry is an asset to our team and I am delighted that he will take on this new role,” said Red Arrow International managing director Henrik Pabst.
“Having a strong head of Non-Scripted has become an important development for us as we partner with more international production and broadcast companies, and work with an increased number of non-scripted producers to grow both our factual and formats catalogue.”
Amelie von Kienlen remains in charge of scripted and coproduction.
