Ex-Endemol Shine exec joins DR

Former Endemol Shine Denmark leader Rikke Kristine Nissen has joined DR in Denmark.

Nissen will lead a new acquisitions department at the Danish pubcaster responsible for sourcing its third-party acquisitions.

She is best known as the former managing director of Endemol Denmark before the prodco’s UK-based parent merged with Shine Group to form the Endemol Shine Group.

Her exit was announced as part of the merger of Endemol and Shine’s Scandinavian divisions in March 2015, then under Gary Carter, who then left later that year.

An Endemol Shone spokesman said Nissen was consulting for the group until October.

DR Media director Gitte Rabøl said Nissen would use her “significant and broad exerience at large production companies” to better negotiate DR’s external production acquisitions.
