Cineflix buys Dior, builds Lego
Cineflix Rights has snagged international rights to two UK-produced factual series, Inside Dior and A Big Lego Christmas.
The deal gives Cineflix two new shows to feed into its MIPTV slate and to show buyers at its London showcase event next week.
Inside Dior is a two-parter from Finestripe.
It launched on the More4 service in the UK and goes behind the scenes at titular fashion empire.
Cineflix has taken other shows from the Glasgow-based indie to market including The Day Hitler Died and Gun Shop.
A Big Lego Christmas is a one-off made by UK indie Waddell Media for Channel 4 and follows the toy giant as it prepares to open a London superstore. The one-off comes after the success of Waddell-produced, Cineflix-distributed The Secret World of Lego. Both shows were on Channel 4 in the UK and sold well internationally.
“Both Inside Dior and A Big Lego Christmas come from producers with a track record of delivering very strong ratings in the UK and substantial global sales,” said Chris Bonney, CEO Rights, Cineflix Media.
“They provide a rare look into the inner workings of huge global brands to deliver entertaining and insightful television, which is exactly what our buyers are looking for at the moment.”
