Discovery buys German Evil Knows! science series

Discovery Networks has acquired Evil Knows! – In the Name of Science, a popular science series out of Germany, in 100 territories.

The show is produced by German indie Maximus Film and distributed by Berlin-based Quintus Media, which struck the Discovery deal.

The show is hosted by ‘Evil’ Jared Hasselhoff, guitarist in US rock band Bloodhound Gang.

It follows him as he investigates myths and phenomena and conducts crazy experiments, often involving cars, planes and animals.

Discovery’s mainstay popular science show Mythbusters is coming to an end and it has taken it for its Science channel and has international rights for 100 countries.

Specifically, Science will have the show in Scandinavia, central Europe, Middle East and Africa regions.
