Fremantle tones up with Joe Wicks shows
Programmes from UK fitness guru Joe Wicks are coming to Cannes with FremantleMedia International.
A deal with Full Fat TV, in which FremantleMedia has a stake, sees a number of shows featuring the Wicks, aka ‘The Body Coach’, who is both a trainer and a best-selling cookbook author.
The show include Joe Wicks: The Body Coach, which is a 1x60mins doc in which Wicks trains ordinary people over different time lengths.
Joe Wicks: The Body Coach 2017 is a 2x60mins effort, in which Wicks goes in search of volunteers willing to commit to a 90-day fitness regime.
“Getting lean and feeling great is something everyone anywhere in the world can relate to,” said Wicks. “Gone are the days of spending endless hours in the gym and eating tasteless food for weight loss.
“My programmes show you how to combine the right exercises with the right foods at the right time to achieve the body that you want. I can’t wait for these shows to go global and help spread my message to every corner of the world.”
Angela Neillis, director of non-scripted for UK, EMEA and Asia Pacific, FMI, said: “With our expertise in global brand management, we’re excited to be working with Full Fat TV to showcase Joe Wicks: The Body Coach to buyers worldwide. Full Fat TV has created a collection of entertaining, modern exercise and nutrition shows that are relevant and in keeping with the times.
“Joe’s infectious personality has already proven to be a hit with the public and we’re confident that these shows will strike a chord with viewers across the globe.”
