Private Eyes appeals to buyers
Canadian procedural Private Eyes will become available in 110 territories worldwide after distributor Entertainment One Television closed a host of deals as MIPTV began this morning.
The show’s latest buyers are ION TV in the US; Universal Channel in Australia; Fox Networks Group in Italy, Hungary, Bulgaria and the Balkans; SBS in Belgium; Comote TV in Greece; and FTV Prima.
Private Eyes was the highest-rated new series for the spring and summer in Canada last year, prompting Global Television to commission an additional 18 episodes.
The show sees Jason Priestley (Call Me Fitz) as an ex-pro athlete who teams up with fierce private investigator (Cindy Simpson, Rookie Blue) to solve cases.
eOne produces the show in association with Global parent Corus Entertainment. The series is based on G.B. Joyce novel The Code.
