Seven orders Warner Bros’ Little Big Shots
Australian free-to-air broadcaster Network Seven has ordered a local version of Little Big Shots, the Warner Bros.-owed and distributed format in which kids perform with a celebrity host.
Comedian, actor, writer, producer and director Shane Jacobson will front Seven version of the show, which will be produced by Warner Bros. International Television Production Australia.
Seven’s director of programming, Angus Ross, said: “Little Big Shots is the ultimate, feel good program. We’re delighted to welcome Shane into the Seven fold. He’s a sensational performer and the perfect fit for this family friendly show with a lot of heart.”
With the Australian deal done, the WBITVP show is now in 16 territories. In the UK it is on ITV, in Germany on ProSiebenSat.1 and in the US on NBC.
“Since we launched Little Big Shots just 12 months ago here at MIPTV, we’ve seen channels across the world embrace this unique, entertaining and hugely successful format,” said Andrew Zein, senior VP, creative, format development & sales at WBITVP.
“We’re confident that Australian audiences will enjoy the most talented, extraordinary and funny kids that Little Big Shots will showcase there.”
Last year WBITVP appointed Michael Brooks as managing director WBITVP Australia.
