ID will Hear No Evil
US cable channel Investigation Discovery has commissioned a sister series to See No Evil.
Hear No Evil will focus on audio recorded at the scene of crimes, rather than the CCTV footage that hangs See No Evil together.
Discovery Communications-owned ID has commissioned UK-based indie Arrow Media to produce the 6x60mins series, which will use audio from victims’ families, perpertrator’s friends, investigators and even the killers themselves to tell the story of significant crimes.
Arrow’s Tom Brisley is creative director, Sam Starbuck is executive producer, and Tom Keeling is series producer.
“The fear of the unknown is one of the most powerful instincts we have,” said Tom Brisley, co-founder and joint creative director of Arrow. “By building the series around audio rather than visual elements we are letting the viewer’s own imagination and instinctive fear of the unknown come to the fore.
“We’re delighted that our shows have proved such successes on ID and, with this new series, we further our excellent relationship with them whilst continuing to drive innovation.”
