MTA’s Matt Assmus joins Dorsey development team

Red Arrow-controlled producer Dorsey Pictures has sealed a deal with Matt Assmus (left) and his company MTA Media that will see the expansion of their development and production team. Assmus will join Dorsey’s development team – led by the company’s VP of development Allison Boon. At the same time, Dorsey’s Whitney Hayes is upped to development coordinator.

“Matt is a veteran producer and we are excited for him to bring his slate of programming and production experience to the Dorsey Pictures team,” says Chris Dorsey, CEO of Dorsey Pictures.

“With Matt and Whitney joining Allison and the rest of our team, we have the breadth to expand our scope of programming and to explore new frontiers and areas of focus.”

Throughout his career, Assmus has been a reality TV producer on hit series including Fear Factor and Pimp My Ride, and he was showrunner on Ashton Kutcher’s Beauty & The Geek. While at 3Ball productions, he served as exec. producer and showrunner on The Biggest Loser and Extreme Weight Loss.
