Strong choice for CEO at Nice prodco
Nice Entertainment Group has named a Mastiff programming chief as the CEO of its Danish prodco, Strong Productions.
Kristian Farcin-Leth has succeeded Trine Bjørn Jakobsen, who will become Strong’s programme director after taking on the role in the interim when Fredrik Hillerbrand exited in December 2016.
Hillberbrand was named managing director of Warner Bros. International Television Production Denmark days after his departure from Strong.
Farcin-Leth takes on his new role on September 1, exiting his post as programme director and Banijay Group-owned Mastiff.
Strong is known for series such as TV3’s local version of Survivor and DR2’s Hjem til Gården (The Farm), and is part of Nice, which is turn is owned by Modern Times Group.
“I am incredibly glad and proud to be given the opportunity to lead one of the most renown production companies into the future that is so full of opportunities and potential,” said Farcin-Leth. “I have admired the company for never to compromise on the creativity and the team spirit that the company is known for.”
He added he would ensure Strong works with international sister companies “in the rest of Scandinavia and other important territories”.
Nice got a new CEO in January of this year, with Morten Mogensen replacing Morten Aass, who joined parent company MTG as CEO of MTG Norway.
