A+E Networks hires UKTV exec
A+E Networks UK has appointed UKTV executive Dom Wilkins as head of scheduling, History UK and H2.
Wilkins is due to take up his new role on July 17 and will report to Dan Korn, VP of programming at A+E Networks UK.
He joins from UKTV, where he was programming manager for digital TV channel Really.
Previously, Wilkins spent eight years at Sky as schedule manager, working across a number of Sky’s channels. He was also head of programme planning for the Sky Real Lives and Travel Channel group.
“In this highly competitive market, it’s vital to attract the best programming talent, so we are delighted to welcome Dom Wilkins to A+E Networks UK as head of scheduling for our flagship UK channel History, and H2,” said Korn.
Wilkins said: “I’m incredibly excited to be joining A+E Networks UK. History is one of the best-loved and iconic programming brands in the UK and I can’t wait to get started.”
Korn joined A+E from STV Productions in October. His replacement at the Scottish prodco was named last month, with Peter Collins promoted to become head of specialist factual.
