Fox calls time on 24: Legacy
US broadcaster Fox is ending espionage thriller 24: Legacy after one season.
The series was billed as a reboot of the 24 series, which starred Kiefer Sutherland, handing the lead role to Corey Hawkins (The Walking Dead).
However, it rated averaged earlier this year, leading Fox and sister production arm 20th Century Fox Television to explore other potential iterations of the franchise.
Imagine Television, Teakwood Lane Productions, Coto/Katz Productions and Fox coproduced the series, which ran to twelve episodes.
Internationally, Fox Networks Group has rights to the drama in 160 territories, including the UK, Turkey, Brazil and South Africa.
The original 24 ran to an initial seven season between 2001 and 2010, before it was revived as 24: Live Another Day in 2014.
Fox previously cancelled 2016/17 season scripted series including Pitch, APB, Son of Zorn and Making History.
