Dalton’s ITV move sparks Endemol Shine rejig
Endemol Shine Group (ESG) has rejigged its Central and Eastern Europe sales team following the departure of Pascal Dalton for ITV Studios (ITS).
Dalton (pictured) is exiting his post as regional sales director for the CEE at MasterChef and Big Brother distributor Endemol Shine International (ESI) after eight years, and will become VP of global format sales at ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVSGE).
He will report to Mike Beale, who was recently promoted to managing director of the Nordics and global creative network at ITVS, the production arm of UK broadcaster ITV.
As a result, ESI has promoted CEE sales manager Natalie Bushaeva to director to replace him, with Tatjana Kostvski upped to sales coordinator and taking some sales responsibilities.
Maria Makedonskaya will continue to manage regional global affairs, but now adds North African format oversight to her duties.
“It has been fantastic to work with Pascal and see him learn and grow over the years,” said ESG’s international operations COO, Marina Williams in a note to staff. “We are sad to see him go, but it is a great opportunity for Pascal to take on a global role.”
She added that Bushaeva had “played an instrumental role across the region since joining in 2011 and the promotion is thoroughly deserved”.
Back at ITVS, Ella Umansky has been promoted to head of formats support, also reporting to Beale.
She has been in a manager role since 2013, having joined the formats team a year prior from NBCUniversal.
“Pascal’s appointment is an important step for our formats strategy,” said Beale. “It will allow us to really build on our collaborative potential worldwide and, together with Ella, will ensure that our creative teams are aligned with our distribution approach and vice versa.
“We need a constant dialogue with key stakeholders across the business to ensure that the formats sold are properly supported and given the best opportunity for success, and this new set-up will help us to facilitate it.”
