Remedy boss Borges leaving

One of the co-founders of UK-based production company Remedy is leaving the business after 14 years.

Managing director Juliet Borges is exiting to “explore other opportunities”.

Chief creative officer Tom Blakeson will remain in his role, as well as taking on the MD post.

She had created the business with Toby Dormer in 2003, and merged it with James Burstall’s Leopard in 2011 to former Argonon Group.

Remedy co-founder Dormer relocated to North America to become president of Remedy Canada in 2012.

Remedy is behind Channel 4 game show Fifteen to One, The Radio Teen Awards for the BBC, and Channel 5 doc show Penguin A&E.

“Remedy Productions is a company that we set up to produce ambitious, entertaining programming and I am so proud of the team, who consistently deliver this across so many broadcasters,” said Borges.

“For me, it’s time to explore other opportunities but I’m enormously grateful to the people here, who work so hard. I know that I leave Remedy with the passion, ambition and vision to continue producing first class entertainment programmes.”

Argonon CEO Burstall said Borges had been “a vital part of the Remedy journey and as a board member of Argonon, she will be very much missed”.
