Armoza’s People’s Choice licensed in India
Armoza Formats’ entertainment show The People’s Choice has been commissioned for a first season by India’s Asianet and will be produced by Big Synergy.
Asianet, a Malayalam-language general entertainment channel owned by Star TV India, is slated to air the local adaptation of 36 episodes from mid-July 2017.
The interactive format will be aired three times a week and hosted by famous Indian actress Gavathri Arun.
Developed in partnership between Israel-based Armoza and TF1 in France, The People’s Choice tests how well contestants know the nation with a range of questions that the audience participates in within the studio and out.
Reghu Ramachandram, head of business at Asianet, said: “We’re happy to give an international show like The People’s Choice a Kerala flavour.
“This will be a platform for Malayalees to express their opinions and be part of a television show, even while sitting at home. This fresh new content is sure to make people think about our views and opinions as a society, while entertaining everyone at the same time. “
Earlier this month, US broadcaster news emerged Fox was working on an adaptation of Armoza’s shiny floor singing show The Final Four. The project has not yet been greenlit or named locally.
