Discovery poaches MTG exec

Discovery Networks Norway has hired MTG’s Hilde Reinersten Kollerød to act as planning director and join its management team.

Kollerød is currently head of planning and acquisitions at MTG TV, which comprises  for TV3, Viasat4, TV6 and Viafree. She will report to Eivind Landsverk, Nordic programme director at Discovery.

During her time at MTG, Kollerød has occupied several positions as including TV planner, programme researcher and head of scheduling. She has worked with the company since 1999.

Landsverk said: “We are very happy to put Hilde in place. She has broad experience in programme planning, she has worked both linearly with the TV channels and also digitally with Viafree, and knows the Norwegian and international TV market very well.

“She wants to go straight and reinforce the team. Her knowledge and thoughts become important to us in the time to come, now that much is about finding the right symbiosis between linear and digital programming.”
