Gigglebug, Kavaleer up for Cartoon Tributes

Cartoon Forum has announced the nominations for its 2017 Cartoon Tribute awards and these include prodcos from Finland and Ireland.

Every year Cartoon Forum nominates broadcasters, investors and distributers and producers for Cartoon Tribute awards, which are held during its annual Toulouse event.

Nominated producers include Gigglebug, Kavaleer and Germany’s Wunderwerk, as well as France’s Dandeloo and Studio 100 Animation.

Gigglebug has been nominated Best & Bester (pictured), Kavaleer for Neenawsaurs, and Wunderwerk for Brothership. Dandeloo is nominated for Stinky Dog, which has also been picked up by France Télévisions, and Studio 100 for Galactic Agency.

Italy’s pubcaster RAI and Spain’s Imira join France TV, Netherlands based KRO-NCRV and Radio Television Suisse for the broadcast category.

Distributors running for the awards are France’s About Premium Content, Italy’s Atlantyca and Germany’s Beta Film and Spain’s Imira Entertainment.

The award winners will be announced on Thursday (September 14).
