HBO Asia buys Keshet’s NBC drama
HBO Asia and TVNZ in New Zealand have bought Keshet International’s NBC series The Brave.
The deal with HBO Asia will see the drama become available across 18 territories on HBO Asia’s network of channels.
These international deals for after The Brave debuted in a 10pm slot on September 25 on NBC in the US following high rating competition series The Voice, according to Keshet.
The distributor said six million viewers, representing a 20% increase over NBC’s average in the timeslot last season, tuned into the debut episode, bringing the network its best adult 18-49 rating in the time period for entertainment programming in seven months.
Executive produced by writer/creator Dean Georgaris (The Manchurian Candidate), Matt Corman and Chris Ord, along with Keshet’s Avi Nir, Alon Struzman, Peter Traugott and Rachel Kaplan, The Brave is a look at the complex world of elite undercover military heroes.
KI shares global licensing rights for the series with NBCUniversal International Distribution.
