Vox to start Knife Fight in Germany with NBCUniversal format
German network Vox has commissioned a local version of NBCUniversal International Formats (NBCUIF)-sold culinary series Knife Fight.
The local show will known as Knife Fight Club, with each episode challenging two celebrity cooks to create and present dishes, while being heckled by the audience and each other.
Endemol Shine Germany has signed on to produce the show, which will run to six hours.
German TV chef Tim Mälzer will host the local show. Filming will take place at his restaurant, Bullerei.
The format first ran in the US between 2013 and 2015 on Esquire Network, which ended operations in January 2017.
NBCUIF also sells cooking series Top Chef, plus game show Hollywood Game Night, drama Law and Order and Parenthood and competition series World of Dance among others.
