Sony rejigs senior team making Parsons EVP of int’l production
Sony Pictures Television International Production (SPT Int’l) has made changes to the senior management team, including making Richard Parsons its new EVP of operations for international production.
Parsons has been senior vice president of international production since 2012, when he joined the company.
In this new role he will oversee all operational and commercial matters affecting the group.
Cheryl Lynch has been promoted to EVP of international business affairs. As well as continuing to oversee Sony’s business affairs teams around the world, she will also take on day-to-day management responsibility for the team in Culver City.
Brendan Fitzgerald is joining the division in the new role of SVP for international co-productions. Sony is working with the greater international demand for English language co-productions and Fitzgerald will be utilizing his networks and experience to bring projects to Sony.
Angelica Guerra, SVP/managing director of international production for Latin America and US Hispanic has also been asked to join the senior team along with Sarah Edwards who will lead the future formats team.
Laura McGaughey will join as head of finance in March.
