Mentorn appoints Hughes as head of development
Mentorn Media has appointed Paul Hughes as head of development, after the exec joined last year.
Hughes will lead the development team to supercharge the producers’ diverse development slate with a focus on returnable factual entertainment and entertainment content for both the UK and the international market.
The exec joined Mentorn last year as senior development producer and has held development roles at Zig Zag, Twofour, the BBC and Remarkable Productions, working across a wide range of entertainment and factual entertainment shows.
Celia Taylor, managing director of Mentorn, said: Paul has an infectious passion for making great shows and is bursting with ideas, so he’s the perfect fit for Mentorn’s talented development team.
“We already have a number of exciting new projects in the pipeline and are in active discussions with both US and UK broadcast partners, so now’s the time to further build on those relationships to make brilliant shows audiences fall in love with.”
Mentorn is part of the Tinopolis Group and current shows range from BBC Two’s Robot Wars (pictured) and Question Time to Channel 5’s Traffic Cops.
