All3Media secures sales for Welsh noir drama Hidden
Distributor All3Media international has unveiled several international sales, including to North America, for crime drama Hidden (Craith).
Broadcasters and platforms including Acorn TV (North America), Dizale (France) and Rialto Channel (New Zealand) have picked up the eight-part limited series. In addition, it has been acquired by DR (Denmark), KRO (Netherlands) and VRT (Belgium), all of whom previously acquired another Welsh drama Hinterland from all3media international.
Produced by Severn Screen for S4C and BBC Wales, Hidden follows DCI Cadi John (Sian Reese-William) as she is drawn back to her childhood home by the faltering health of her beloved father, and finds herself policing the precinct and people of her youth. However, when the body of a local woman is found in a remote mountain river, Cadi’s world – and the world of those around her – is changed forever.
Acorn has acquired VOD, DVD and download rights for Hidden and will premiere it in July 2018. Commenting, Don Klees, VP of programming for Acorn brands at RLJ Entertainment, said: “With its tense script and stellar ensemble, Hidden is an excellent addition to Acorn TV’s line-up of mysteries. We’re happy to be working with All3Media international which has been an important partner on series like Midsomer Murders, Ackley Bridge, and The Brokenwood Mysteries.”
