ITV Studios’ Shiver hires Love Productions’ Hansell as head of development

ITV Studios factual arm Shiver has named Love Productions exec Aidan Hansell as head of development.

Hansell (left) will report in to group creative director Ana De Moraes who, along with managing director Tim Carter, oversees Shiver’s development strategy. Hansell will lead the new development team in London and Manchester.

As head of development at Live Productions, Hansell played a key role in the Channel 4 shows Be Your Own Doctor, My Baby’s Life: Who Decides?, The Biggest Little Railway in the World and the forthcoming Battle of Britain: Model Squadron (w/t) being commissioned.

Prior to this, Hansell was head of development at Darlow Smithson and BBC Studios consumer and live.

“Aidan’s range and versatility, developing shows that go from fact ent to specialist factual formats, perfectly mirrors the range of Shiver’s output. His eye for innovative, contemporary television made him the perfect choice for us, and I’m excited about what we can accomplish as a team,” said De Moraes.
