WildBrain to bring Lottie Dottie Chicken to US and UK audiences
Digital kids network and studio WildBrain has signed an exclusive agreement with Brazilian animation studio Bromelia Productions to look after key elements of kids brand, Lottie Dottie Chicken.
Under the terms of the deal, WildBrain will manage the brand’s English-language YouTube channels and launch a new Lottie Dottie Chicken YouTube miniseries (26 x 12’) in the US and UK, with a focus on increasing visibility for the brand among English-speaking audiences.
“Lottie Dottie Chicken is a Brazilian success story, and we’re delighted to help drive its future growth with English-speaking audiences,” said Michael Carroll, business development manager, WildBrain. “WildBrain has experience managing English YouTube channels on behalf of international brands, and we’re confident we can deliver the content Brazilian children love to US and UK audiences.”
Created by Juliano Prado and Marcos Luporini, Lottie Dottie Chicken is aimed at children ages six months to five-years-old. Since launching on YouTube in 2006, the brand has amassed more than 20.4 million subscribers across 10 language channels and in May 2018, it garnered more than 420 million monthly views across all of its channels.
Prado added: “This agreement is the right strategic move for us. As digital-savvy experts and leaders in the kids’ YouTube space, WildBrain is the right team for us to work with as we look to expand the international reach of our beloved blue chicken, Lottie Dottie.”
