Amazon’s head of unscripted exits after investigation
Amazon’s head of unscripted, Heather Schuster, is to exit the company after an internal investigation into alleged inappropriate behavior was administered by the company.
While Amazon has made no formal comment, Schuster’s exit arrived after the company launched an investigation on inappropriate comments made during meetings and misuse of power, according to Deadline, which first reported the story.
There is no word on who will replace Schuster yet, leaving Amazon with a thin programming team after the departure of various execs this time last year.
Schuster will depart the company less than a year after taking over from Conrad Riggs, one of the two execs to depart the company after Amazon Studios Head Roy Price left following sexual harassment claims made against him.
Amazon’s head of half-hour, Joe Lewis, also departed after the allegations against Price were made. Sharon Tal Yguado has replaced him in the interim.
Schuster has formally worked with Ryan Seacrest Productions and had created her own production company, backed by All3Media, before joining Amazon in August 2017. She has worked across titles such as the Donald Trump-starring The Apprentice.
