Cake sends Mush-Mush to Boomerang
Children’s entertainment distributor Cake has sold Mush-Mush and the Mushables into Turner-owned Boomerang.
Produced by France’s La Cabane Productions and Belgium’s Thuristar in coproduction with Cake, the 52 x 11-minute CGI adventure comedy series will air internationally on pay-TV channel Boomerang, in addition to Turner Kids channels Cartoon Network, Boing and POGO in select markets, from 2020.
Cake previously pre-sold the title into Canal+ and Piwi+ (France), VRT-Ketnet and RTBF-OUFtivi (Belgium), RTS (Switzerland) and RTL Telekids (Netherlands).
La Cabane Productions and Thuristar began production on the series last month.
Mush-Mush and the Mushables follows the forest adventures of Mush-Mush, his best friends Chep and Lilit and the rest of the Mushable community.
Created by Flemish artist Elfriede de Rooster, Mush-Mush and the Mushables is produced by Perrine Gauthier and directed by Joeri Christiaen (My Knight and Me).
Ed Galton, CCO and managing director of Cake, said: “Perrine, Joeri and their team are bringing to life the original drawings to create an engaging warm-hearted series about a community of loveable mushrooms and their funny adventures that children everywhere will enjoy.”
