Freeform’s Shadowhunters wins big at People’s Choice Awards
Freeform supernatural drama Shadowhunters won a string of awards, including multiple gongs for its stars, at the People’s Choice Awards.
The awards show, held this on Sunday (November 11), is based on votes from the general public on their favourite films, TV shows, music and pop personalities.
Shadowhunters, which is based on the book series The Mortal Instruments, was voted The Show of 2018 and The Bingeworthy Show of 2018.
Meanwhile cast members Harry Shum Jr and Katherine McNamara were voted Male and Female Stars of 2018, respectively.
Keeping Up with the Kardashians won The Reality Show of 2018, with Khloe Kardashian voted as The Reality TV star of 2018.
Other unscripted favourites included The Voice, which was voted The Competition Show of 2018; The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which was voted The Daytime Talk Show of 2018; The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, voted The Nightime Talk Show of 2018; and America Idol’s Maddie Poppe, who was voted The Competition Contestant of 2018.
Riverdale was voted as the top drama title of 2018, while Orange is the New Black was selected top comedy and Dynasty was named as the favourite reboot.
