Sky takes expanded CBS slate, brings FBI to the UK
Sky UK and CBS Studios International have prepared an expanded licensing agreement for CBS programming, which will see new drama FBI head to the channel in the UK.
FBI is a fast-paced drama about the inner workings of the New York office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and is from Emmy Award-winner Dick Wolf and the team behind the Law & Order franchise. It arrived on CBS this autumn.
Wolf, Rick Eid, Derek Haas, Terry Miller, Norberto Barba, Arthur W. Forney and Peter Jankowski executive produce FBI for Universal Television in association with CBS Television Studios and Wolf Entertainment.
In addition, the content pact ensures that Sky One continues to be presented as the home of The Late Late Show with James Corden on UK television.
Additionally, the agreement will see CBS favourites Hawaii Five-0, Madam Secretary and Elementary return to Sky channels.
“For many years, we have successfully delivered Sky a slate of broad, powerful, advertiser-friendly series,” said Stephen Tague, executive VP, client relations, EMEA, for CBS Studios International. “We think FBI is a terrific addition to the Sky schedule, building on the consistency and reliability that broadcasters have come to expect from CBS programming.”
