Bad Wolf lines up British-Vogue drama with Alexandra Shulman

A Discovery of Witches producer Bad Wolf is set to develop a drama based on British Vogue in the 90s.

The series will follow the cultural events that took place in the UK in the 90s through the prism of the fashion title. It travels through the death of grunge to the rise of New Labour, Tony Blair and Britpop.

Gold Dust Nation will be developed with Vogue’s former editor-in-chief Alexandra Shulman and former editor-at-large Fiona Golfar, according to Deadline which first reported the story.

Shulman and Golfar worked with British Vogue for 25 years, which included world famous issues with Princess Diana and Kate Moss. Shulman stepped down from her role last year and was replaced by Edward Enninful.

Bad Wolf is currently working on an adaptation of Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials.

Shulman said: “It’s wonderful to have the opportunity to bring to life the realities of the world of fashion publishing in a series that will have total authenticity.  We will be able to showcase the real issues and real stories that occur when you combine huge creativity with human emotions and dilemmas set in a backdrop of the changing times of recent history”
