UKTV, Foxtel acquire Inside the Mind of a Serial Killer
UKTV’s Really and Foxtel in Australia have acquired the second series of FirstLook TV’s Inside the Mind of a Serial Killer.
The true crime investigation series delves into the tormented psyches of the world’s most infamous serial-killers by combining dramatic re-enactments with real-life video. The first season was acquired by Netflix, as well as UKTV and Foxtel.
The news follows UKTV’s recent acquisition of the third series of FirstLook TV’s Nurses Who Kill, a 10 x 60-minute true crime docudrama series that focuses on nurses and carers who have ended the lives of patients they are supposed to be helping.
Inside the Mind of a Serial Killer was acquired from Banijay Rights, the worldwide distributor of the title.
Will Hanrahan, founder and creative director of FirstLook TV, said: “Inside the Mind of a Serial Killer found huge success on various platforms and channels during its first run and we are delighted the show is returning for a second season. We’ve found working with our friends at Banijay Rights really helpful on this project. They’ve secured sales which will enhance the series enormously.”
