Blue Ant Int’l bolsters true crime slate ahead of MIPTV
Blue Ant International has bolstered its factual slate with three true crime series.
The Canada-headquartered distributor has acquired BTK: A Killer Among Us (2 x 60 minutes), Fred & Rose West: House of Horrors (1 x 60 minutes), and a fifth series of See No Evil (pictured; 16 x 60 minutes) ahead of next month’s MIPTV market.
Overall, the business has acquired a number of tent-pole titles, including 11 factual entertainment series, four high-impact documentaries and four nature and wildlife programmes.
Tent-pole series include paranormal shows My Worst Nightmare (10 x 60 minutes; Pixcom Productions), Paranormal Survivor V (10 x 60 minutes; Our House Media) and the second series of UFOs: The Lost Evidence (10 x 60 minutes; Megalomedia).
Lifestyle series are The Bryk Retreat (6 x 30 minutes; Saloon Media), Coolest Places to Stay (6 x 30 minutes; Architect Films), Sarah Off the Grid II (6 x 60 minutes; Alibi Entertainment) and 100 Day Renovation – 99 Problems (8 x 60 minutes; Stripe Media).
New natural history titles, many of which are available in 4K, include Turtle Beach (1 x 60 minutes/1 x 90 minutes; Renegade Pictures, Merit Entertainment); Dogs with Extraordinary Jobs (5 x 60 minutes; Oxford Scientific Films); Hope for Wildlife IX (13 x 60 minutes; Arcadia Entertainment) and Carpathian Predators (2 x 60 minutes; Blink Films).
