Quest Red checks into Full Fat’s ‘Bad Skin Clinic’
Discovery-owned free-to-air channel Quest Red has commissioned Full Fat TV to produce The Bad Skin Clinic.
The 8 x 60-minute series will follow dermatological surgeon Dr. Emma Craythorne and her team of experts at their Harley Street clinic as they treat and transform the lives of those suffering from debilitating skin conditions.
The team treats individuals with a host of skin conditions and complaints, ranging from large blackheads and cysts to enormous lumps and lipomas.
The Bad Skin Clinic was ordered by Clare Laycock, VP and head of lifestyle and entertainment, and commissioned by Charlotte Reid. Deirdre Dowling is executive producer for Quest Red and Colette Foster is EP for Full Fat TV.
Quest Red, which launched in 2017, was up 19% year-on-year for adult viewing share in Q1, bolstered by the success of programmes such as My 600lb Life.
Clare Laycock, VP and head of lifestyle and entertainment brands, said: “Our audience love medical reality shows and I’m delighted to bring them Dr. Emma and The Bad Skin Clinic. This series will feature some incredibly emotional stories and a good few eye-watering procedures and memorable moments along the way.”
Colette Foster, creative director for Full Fat TV, added: “We are delighted to be working with Dr. Emma Craythorne, one of the UK’s most eminent dermatologists, as she treats people with extreme and sometimes debilitating skin conditions. The results are truly transformative, both physically and emotionally. Dr Emma’s work is life-changing.”
