Rai asks for more ‘Ladies’ Paradise’
Rai Uno has ordered another 320 episodes of Ladies’ Paradise (Paradiso delle Signore) from Banijay Group’s Aurora TV.
Set in 1950s Milan and centring around a clothing department store, the Ladies’ Paradise series was launched by Rai Uno in 2015 and broadcast in primetime for two 20×50-minute seasons, one night a week.
The third season saw it turn into a long-running soap, with 180×40-minute episodes airing from Monday to Friday at 3pm. The cast has continued to change except leading actor, Alessandro Tersigni.
Ladies’ Paradise is produced by Aurora TV’s CEO Giannandrea Pecorelli and executive produced by Daniele Carnacina. The show is directed by Francesco Pavolini, Riccardo Mosca, Marco Maccaferri and Isabella Leoni. The soap returns for its fourth series on 14 October 2019, with production beginning this summer.
Percorelli commented: “Work has already started on the taking the storytelling to the next level and we look forward to delivering another two series of entertainment for our fans.”
