Warner Horizon Scripted TV rejigs exec team, promotes London Redman

Warner Horizon Scripted Television has rejigged its exec team, appointing Leigh London Redman as EVP of scripted programming and promoting several others.

The scripted arm of Warner Bros. Television Group has elevated London Redman, who has served as SVP of scripted programming since 2015, to the newly created role, where she will spearhead day-to-day creative affairs relating to original scripted programming, including dramas, comedies, event series and more, produced by WHSTV.

London Redman is responsible for overseeing development of new TV shows and supervising current programming efforts for existing series, such as Animal Kingdom and Claws for TNT; Cherish the Day, David Makes Man and Queen Sugar for OWN; The Flight Attendant for HBO Max; and Fuller House, Medical Police and You for Netflix.

Elsewhere, Kevin E. Fortson and Matt Matzkin have been promoted to newly created EVP roles in production and business affairs, respectively, for both Warner Horizon Scripted Television as well as Warner Horizon Unscripted Television.

As EVP of production, Fortson will oversee all aspects of physical production — including budgeting, scheduling, staffing and more — for series produced by Warner Horizon Scripted Television. He also oversees Warner Horizon Scripted Television’s production staff.

Meanwhile, in his role as EVP of business affairs, Matt Matzkin serves as the top business executive for the production unit, serving as its lead dealmaker.

He is charged with negotiating or supervising negotiations for Warner Horizon Scripted Television’s pacts with creative talent — including performers, producers, writers and directors — as well as spearheading license agreements with streamers and cable channels for Warner Horizon Scripted Television programming. Matzkin also manages the business affairs team.

London Redman, Fortson and Matzkin report into Warner Bros. Television and Warner Horizon Scripted Television presidents Susan Rovner and Brett Paul.

For unscripted, Fortson and Matzkin report into Mike Darnell, president of Warner Bros. Unscripted and Alternative Television.

Rovner, Paul and Darnell all report to Warner Bros. Television Group president and chief content officer Peter Roth.
