Endemol Shine sells into children’s AVOD Kidoodle.TV
Endemol Shine Group has struck a distribution pact with children’s AVOD Kidoodle TV.
The platform has picked up a slate of Endemol Shine shows, including animated pre-school series Bananas In Pyjamas and Mr. Bean: The Animated Series (pictured).
The ad-supported Kidoodle.TV, which tops 13,000 episodes, is best known for its Safe Streaming functionality for young users. The platform is available across Apple TV 4, Roku, Fire TV and others.
The deal is the latest in a string of digital-focused AVOD agreements for Endemol Shine Group, which licenses and self-publishes content and curated channels across a number of digital platforms.
Genre-based digital channels launched by the business include Reel Truth, which features factual documentaries and series from around the world. Elsewhere, the business launched curated hub channel brand MasterChef World on YouTube.
Kasia Jablonska, head of digital distribution and monestisation for Endemol Shine Group, said, “Our content archive includes some fantastic children’s programming and Kidoodle.TV is a great home for a variety of our popular, family friendly series and we value the Safe Streaming component they bring. We are keen to explore further opportunities in this genre and are focused on building different verticals across a broad range of platforms.”
Brenda Bisner, SVP of content and business development for Kidoodle.TV, added: “The addition of these titles into our growing Safe Streaming service for children under 12 in over 140 countries continues to prove that we are a safe alternative for brands and families who are more aware of the inherent dangers on sites not intended for children.”
