AMC promotes Connolly for programming and marketing role
AMC Networks International (AMCNI) has promoted Patrick Connolly to become its senior VP of programming and marketing.
Connolly will now oversee marketing activities – in addition to programming – for global network brands AMC and SundanceTV, alongside AMCNI’s regional brands and channels in more than 130 countries.
He will also continue to lead on-air creative and programming activities for AMC Global and SundanceTV Global, based out of New York and reporting to Harold Gronenthal, exec VP of programming and marketing.
Connolly previously worked for Fox and Showtime before joining AMC in 2011. He was appointed senior VP of programming for AMC and SundanceTV Global last year, working across acquisitions and co-productions for the networks around the globe. Prior to that, he was VP of programming and scheduling for AMC and SundanceTV Global.
Gronenthal said: “Patrick has been instrumental in expanding the company’s efforts in offering award-winning programming to global audiences. This expanded role recognizes his innate talent for marketing and promotion as we build on AMCNI’s commitment to bringing audiences premium content.”
