Looking Glass rebrands as LGI Media, appoints new MD
Australia-based distribution company Looking Glass International has rebranded as LGI Media. The company, which specialises in the development, financing and distribution of factual TV, also unveiled Sam Thompson as managing director with immediate effect.
“Over the last 14 years we have built a strong reputation for providing high end, quality factual programming,” said Nha-Uyen Chau, LGI Media founder & CEO. “Evolving our name was the appropriate strategic move and by reflecting our work accurately in the new name we also want to enable opportunities for growth”.
Thompson has been with LGI Media since 2017 as VP of international distribution and co-productions. In his new position, he will be responsible for implementing the company’s content strategy and overseeing the development, distribution and acquisitions its programming portfolio. He said: “I look forward to contributing to the company’s global growth and continuing to build an eclectic catalogue of high-end factual programming”.
