Keshet International scores first sale for celeb dating format ’12 Steps To Love’
Keshet International has sold Israeli dating format 12 Steps To Love into Holland’s NET5, marking its first international sale.
The Talpa-owned commercial channel, which airs the likes of My Kitchen Rules and MasterChef, has commissioned a local adaptation of the format from Vincent TV Productions.
Based on Koda Communications and Keshet Broadcasting’s original series, the format follows a celebrity looking for love over the course of 21 days.
While the original Israeli series aired on Keshet 12 last year, following celebrity dancer Anna Aronov (pictured) – who went on to marry her partner from the show earlier this summer – NET5’s adaptation will star Dutch pianist and singer Iris Hond.
The show was ordered by NET5’s Annelies Sitvast. Vincent TV founder Vincent Tervoert will serve as executive producer.
Sitvast, head of NET5, said: “We fell in love with Anna’s 12 Steps To Love from the moment we screened the first episode and are thrilled to be the first territory to adapt this format outside of Israel.
“With more than two million singles in The Netherlands, we hope many people will be able to relate to Iris and her modern day journey.”
Keren Shahar, KI’s COO and president of distribution, added: “We are thrilled 12 Steps To Love has found its first international home outside of Israel with NET5. Anna captured our hearts here in Israel as she shared her journey to find love with us, and we’re all so happy to see her marry her new-found love just a few months ago. We wish Iris all the best with her quest.”
As revealed by TBI earlier this week, Keshet International recently sold HBO and Keshet Studios’ limited series Our Boys into France’s Canal+.
