Amazon Prime Video France picks up Newen’s ‘Inside Game’
Amazon Prime Video France has scored first-window SVOD rights to thriller The Inside Game from Newen Distribution.
Directed by Oscar-Winning director Jean-Xavier de Lestrade (Murder On A Sunday Morning, The Staircase) and produced by What’s Up Film for Arte France, the series follows principled politician Guillaume Delpierre on his fight to ban a pesticide from agrochemical giant Saskia.
Amazon Prime Video France launches the 8 x 52-minute programme this month.
The Inside Game forms part of a 6,000-hour catalogue from Newen Distribution, the distribution arm of Newen (TF1 Group), which recently acquired Reel One Entertainment.
Malika Abdellaoui, MD of Newen Distribution, said: “We are delighted to be teaming up with Amazon Prime Video on bringing such a premium thriller series, with great talents, both in front and not least behind the camera, to its French Prime customers. The Inside Game resonates with the recent debates in both Europe and the USA for banning pesticides and give the viewers a different point of view.”
