Endemol Shine North America appoints exec director of licensing
Endemol Shine North America has appointed consumer products exec Scott Shillet as executive director of licensing.
In his new role, Shillet will support the development of brand licensing partnerships across various consumer products and the company’s non-scripted and scripted series in North America.
He will also work closely alongside Endemol Shine Group’s brand licensing team to develop global licensing strategies for the company’s top brands.
Endemol Shine North America’s slate includes the likes of MasterChef, MasterChef Junior, Big Brother and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.
Prior to joining Endemol Shine North America, Shillet served as licensing director for Global Toys & Hardlines at 20th Century Fox, where he was responsible for driving licensing programmes for Fox animated and live-action properties, including The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, Alien, Home Alone and The Sandlot.
Before joining 20th Century Fox, Shillet was senior franchise manager for Harry Potter Global Franchise Development at Warner Bros., where he oversaw the development of key product initiatives and strategies for Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts across multiple Warner Bros. divisions, including Consumer Products, Global Themed Entertainment, Gaming, Studio Tours and Publishing.
Previously, Shillet held various positions at DreamWorks Animation, including global product development manager, hardlines, and licensing manager for Softlines, where he drove development of consumer products programs for properties including Trolls, How to Train Your Dragon, Kung Fu Panda and Shrek.
