BBC Children’s chief Alice Webb to join Universal’s Eagle Rock

BBC Children’s director Alice Webb is leaving the UK public broadcaster to join Universal Music-backed Eagle Rock Entertainment.

Webb had been with the BBC for more than 15 years and had been director of its children’s division since 2015, overseeing the creative and strategic direction of the kids arm which includes channel brands CBBC and CBeebies.

Before that, she had been COO of its Northern England division, overseeing the relocation of the BBC’s kids operation from London to Salford.

Webb will become CEO at Eagle Rock, which has worked with directors including Martin Scorsese and with artists including Madonna and Paul McCartney.

Its output includes Ella-focused show Just One Of Those Things and Miles Davis doc Birth Of The Cool.
