Pluto TV expands UK offering with factual, family channels
ViacomCBS-owned AVOD streamer Pluto TV has announced the launch of six new channels in the UK.
These additions take the number of channels to almost 80, up from under 30 at the beginning of the year prior to Viacom’s $340m takeover of Pluto in January.
Pluto TV Action, Pluto TV Sci-Fi, Pluto TV Thrillers, Get.Factual and Pluto TV Family launched on 16 December, while Strongman Champions League goes live on 23 December.
Olivier Jollet, managing director Europe at Pluto TV said: “We’ve come a long way since launching in the UK in late 2018 and are now proud that we are offering our viewers more thematic channels than ever for them to enjoy wherever they are and whatever they feel like.
“We are looking forward for our audience to ending their year with our vast programming and kick-start the new decade with us.”
The new channels will serve as a non-seasonal complement to the range of festive pop-ups launched by Pluto last month, as reported by TBI sister title DTVE.
