Distribution360 strikes raft of Asia deals

Distribution360 has secured several deals across territories in Asia for its kids’ programming.

KTH in South Korea has acquired 504 episodes of Skyship Entertainment content, which includes Super Simple Songs, Finley’s Factory, The Bumble Nums and Treetop Family.

D360 has also placed four titles with specialist kids channel Da Vinci. MathXplosion (50 x 3-minues) was acquired by Da Vinci for nine Asian markets, including China and India. ScienceXplosion (45 x 3.5-minutes) was acquired for India. Both series are produced by GAPC Entertainment.

Snapshots (6 x 30-minutes) will air in more than 30 Asian territories, including China, India, Malaysia, Singapore and South Korea, and Spellz (52 x 12-minutes) was acquired for nine territories including Afghanistan, Pakistan, India and China.

MathXplosion has also been licensed to True Visions in Thailand and PCCW in Hong Kong and Macau. True Visions’ deal with D360 also includes 52 x 11 minute episodes of The Super Simple Show and 26 x 7-minute episodes of art show Super Simple Draw, while PCCW’s package also features Super Mighty Makers (13 x 30-minutes).

eOne sells Cupcake & Dino

The Walt Disney Company in South East Asia and Bravokids have both acquired the exclusive pay-TV broadcast rights to series one Entertainment One’s animated children’s comedy series Cupcake & Dino: General Services in South East Asia and Korea.

Episodes are due to start airing from spring 2020 across multiple territories on the Disney Channel including Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Indonesia, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Republic of Palau, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam as well as on Bravokids in Korea.

WildBrain Spark names Clare Bennett as head of paid media

Kids digital network and studio WildBrain Spark has appointed Clare Bennett to the newly created role of head of paid media.

Clare will work with WildBrain Spark’s partners to maximise the effectiveness of their paid media across digital platforms, in addition to supporting the marketing and commercial teams in building WildBrain Spark’s own brands and IP.

She joins WildBrain Spark from Dentsu Aegis Network’s creative and media agency 360i Europe, where she held the position of group account director.
