Sky Atlantic, HBO order crime drama from Olivia Colman’s new prodco
Sky Atlantic and HBO have ordered a four-part crime drama that is being co-produced by The Crown actor Olivia Colman’s newly launched outfit South Of The River Pictures.
Landscapers is being co-produced with Sister, which was recently launched by Elisabeth Murdoch, Stacey Snider and Jane Featherstone. It is also financially backing Colman’s new prodco, which has been founded by the actor, her partner Ed Sinclair, and Tom Carver.
Carver will be MD while Colman and Sinclair are creative directors of the new firm, with the latter attached to write on the forthcoming drama.
Landscapers will tell the true story of convicted killers Susan and Christopher Edwards. The UK-based couple murdered Susan’s parents, with the crime going undetected for a decade. Alexander Payne (Sideways) directs, while Colman stars as Susan Edwards.
Filming starts later this year with the show set to air on HBO in the US, and Sky in the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain and Ireland. NBCUniversal Global Distribution handles sales.
