Romania’s Antena signs up for local version of ‘Love Island’

Romania has become the 15th territory to order a local version of ITV Studios’ and Motion Content Group’s format Love Island.

Commercial broadcaster Antena in Romania has snapped up the format, which will also debut this year in France on Amazon Prime in March and return on CBS in the US.

Last year Love Island also launched in Belgium, Netherlands, Poland and Hungary. It has run for three series in Germany, two in Australia and Norway, and has also been commissioned in Sweden, Denmark and New Zealand.

Love Island is based on a format owned by ITV Studios and Motion Content Group and is distributed internationally by ITV Studios.
