BBC Four & PBS visit Notre Dame with Windfall Films
BBC Four in the UK and US broadcaster PBS have commissioned a special-access documentary from Windfall Films about the race to save and rebuild the Cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris in France.
Rebuilding Notre Dame: Inside The Great Cathedral Rescue (1 x 60-minute), from the Argonon Group-owned Windfall, will air on BBC Four in the UK, while the show will air on PBS’s science strand Nova under the title Saving Notre Dame.
The programme offers exclusive access to the men and women fighting to secure the world-famous structure, which was ravaged by fire in April 2019.
“To spend time over the past year inside Notre Dame was both awe-inspiring and deeply moving,” says Joby Lubman, director for Windfall Films.
“This is a building that means a great deal to many around the world, so to have this remarkable access was truly humbling. The film gives a unique insight into the collaborative efforts of the architects, scientists, engineers and craftspeople who are bringing Notre Dame back to life.”
