Former BBC exec Maggie Boden joins Ink Factory creative team

Maggie Boden has been hired as director of development for the London and LA-based indie prodco The Ink Factory.

Boden, who was formerly development producer for BBC Drama Studios and Big Light Productions, will be based out of the London office and report to The Ink Factory’s recently appointed creative director Katherine Butler.

She also worked as a development producer at Mainstreet Pictures across original drama projects for BBC, ITV, C4 and Sky, and her credits include work on Mr Selfridge, Scott and Bailey and Agatha Christie’s Poirot.

The appointment follows a recent bolstering of the development team at Ink Factory after its partnership agreement with Endeavor Content, which took a stake in the prodco in February.

The Night Manager

The Ink Factory is operated by co-CEOs and founders Stephen and Simon Cornwell, the sons of acclaimed novelist John Le Carré, and has earned praise for its adaptations of Le Carré novels, including miniseries 2016’s The Night Manager and The Little Drummer Girl in 2018 and the film Our Kind Of Traitor in 2016.

The company is also developing a series based on The Spy Who Came In From the Cold, produced in association with Paramount TV, the BBC and AMC.
