Red Arrow Studios extends deal with Endor MD Hilary Bevan Jones

ProSieben-owned Red Arrow Studios has struck a multi-year contract extension with Hilary Bevan Jones, founder and MD of its UK-based drama outfit Endor Productions.

Endor, which became part of Red Arrow Studios in 2012, is behind Vienna Blood for Germany’s ORF and ZDF – and acquired by the UK’s BBC and PBS in the US – as well as Deep State for Fox Networks Group, and forthcoming BBC One drama But When We Dance, written by Paul Mayhew-Archer.

Bevan Jones’ own credits include Roald Dahl’s Esio Trot with Dustin Hoffman, Judi Dench and James Corden for BBC One, BBC Two’s That Day We Sang, written and directed by Victoria Wood, and Paul Abbott’s State Of Play, starring David Morrissey and John Simm.

The deal comes just over a month since German broadcast giant ProSieben, pulled the sale of production and distribution division Red Arrow, as revealed by TBI. Two weeks after that, ProSieben’s CEO Max Conze stepped down, leaving questions over the future of the German broadcaster.

Endor’s team also includes creative director Sara Johnson, who joined from Fox Networks Group, Europe & Africa earlier this year, finance chief Ian McBain, production manager Samantha White and head of production Eamon Fitzpatrick.
