Noah Media Group takes global rights for films from Oscar-winners
London-based Noah Media Group has acquired global distribution rights for Lorton Entertainment’s sports feature Make Us Dream and the HBO documentary Bleed Out.
The group will sell the films through its international sales and distribution arm Noah X.
Produced by Oscar-winner James Gay-Rees (Amy, Senna), Make Us Dream digs into the story of British footballer Steven Gerrard, exploring his sporting successes and failures. The film is currently available globally on Amazon Prime and Noah will be selling free TV rights (excluding UK) around the world.
Also produced by an Oscar winner – Icarus’s Dan Cogan – Bleed Out follows comedian and filmmaker Steve Burrows’ investigation into America’s healthcare system as he looks at its flaws and highlights how they can be fixed.
These acquisitions come soon after the group picked up Daniel Gordon’s feature documentary The Australian Dream about Australian Football League legend Adam Goodes, which marked the first third-party project to be sold by the company.
Head of international sales Catherine Quantschnigg, who negotiated both deals on behalf of Noah Media Group, said: “We’re thrilled to be adding this diverse duo of titles to our slate of critically acclaimed documentaries, and to be representing award-winning filmmakers on a global basis.”
