The CW does deal with ‘Devils’ to bolster fall schedule
US network The CW has picked up Sky Italia thriller Devils as it continues to acquire international series for its 2020/21 schedule.
The series is produced by Sky Italia and Italian prodco Lux Vide, in association with Sky Studios and France’s Orange Studio. It originally aired on Sky Atlantic in Italy and OCS in France. It is being distributed worldwide by NBCUniversal Global Distribution on behalf of Sky Studios.
Based on Guido Maria Brera’s novel I Diavoli, the series stars Patrick Dempsey and Alessandro Borghi and follows two financial traders who uncover a global conspiracy when one of them gets caught up in a murder investigation.
The acquisition of Devils comes amid a restructure of The CW’s fall schedule to fill the gaps left by those original productions put on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
It will be broadcast on Wednesdays at 8pm on its fall schedule ahead of Canadian drama Coroner. Its addition also means a schedule change, with Two Sentence Horror Stories and Dead Pixels moving from their previously announced slots.
